A hunting vest is a real multi-functional piece of clothing, which allows you to add necessary pockets, eye-catching color and protection from the wind to any outfit. In addition to hunters, they are also used by, for example, dog handlers and range shooters.
Choosing a hunting vest
- The vest should fit well. A vest that is too tight restricts movements, such as raising a weapon, while one that is too loose can catch on branches. Also think in advance whether you will wear the vest over the hunting jacket or without the jacket, for example with a sweater - you need a larger size over the jacket.
- When hunting, fabrics should be as quiet and durable as possible! A high-quality hunting vest will serve its wearer year after year.
- Make sure the vest has enough pockets for your own needs, for example for a walkie-talkie and stakes.
- Pattern and coloring. When hunting in a group, the vest should have an orange attention color.
The Halla hunting vest has everything right
The Halla hunting vest is designed to be used especially in group hunts, such as elk and deer hunting.
The vest uses Repo's own Orange xFade attention camo pattern, which improves the hunter's visibility to his companions, but obscures the prey animal's eyes better than a traditional monochrome vest.
Features of the Halla hunting vest:
- The sturdy, brushed surface fabric is quiet and has a pleasant feel.
- The shoulders and sides are additionally reinforced with durable Cordura.
- The whole is DWR-treated, so the surface fabric of the vest effectively repels water and dirt.
- For a walkie-talkie and other accessories, the vest has zippered chest/hip pockets on both sides, a spacious back pocket for e.g. a trailing cloth, and hand warmer pockets.
- The pockets have grommets for cables.
- Sturdy rubber loops for the antenna are attached to the shoulders.

Can I order a jacket and pants in different sizes?
Yes, you can also order a jacket and trousers in different sizes. In that case, place a suit order by adding the jacket from your own jackets category and the trousers from their own category. No problem – the total price remains the same as for the suit set!
How do I know which size is right for me?
Our clothing uses standard Finnish sizing. However, we recommend that you always check the correct size by clicking the "size guide" button next to each product.
How do I know if my clothes are waterproof?
You can find more detailed information about the materials of our clothing in the technical data section of the product information. However, as an assumption, waterproof clothing must have both a membrane and taped seams and also, for example, weatherproof zippers. The membrane alone does not necessarily guarantee that the product is waterproof. Membrane clothing with taped seams keeps water out up to the given water column ratings, but it is also good to note that the membrane is not completely tight like in traditional rainwear. Therefore, membrane clothing can also let water through, especially when exposed to high pressure for a longer period of time.
What is DWR treatment?
DWR (Durable Water Resistant) is a treatment applied to the surface of a garment that makes it water and dirt repellent. The DWR treatment wears off over time and with washing, for example, after which it is a good idea to re-saturate the garment. You will notice the DWR treatment weakening when water no longer drips on the surface of the garment, but the fabric immediately absorbs the water.
