Hunting suits in the test – Repo Extreme Alpha G2

It's the beginning of October 2023. I wake up to the sound of the alarm clock and wonder if the weather forecast I saw last night is correct, the first big frosts are promised.

I don't get up and make coffee. I can see from the window that the car windows are frozen. It's a good thing, that is, the weather is starting to be good for fishing. This brings us to clothing, what do I wear? Well, no need to think twice about it. I had the honor of starting a collaboration with Repo Extreme and they sent me hunting suits to test for my yacht trips.

In this article, I will share my experiences with the Alpha G2 xFade hunting suit from my own perspective, as well as the suit's technical features.

Alpha G2 hunting suit in the test

For colder, autumn and early winter weatherRepo Extreme Alpha G2 xFadehunting suit with a pattern - this is a choice for the little cold and tougher when you dress in layers, but in plus-size clothes this suit will definitely be hot, at least for me.

The place is a pre-thought-out opening at the bottom of a bog where a small pine tree grows. I end up in the middle of a small cluster of pine trees and place a camouflage net, even if it wasn't necessarily necessary, but with cameras I usually put it if possible, so you can move more when approaching the prey.

Sitting in the passport and sipping coffee, I say that the Alpha G2 suit turns out to be an extremely good choice. The suit is warm and fits comfortably. I personally wear size M in almost all clothes and this suit also fits me perfectly in size M, but you should check your measurements in the size chart.

So as the coffee dripped, I put the suit on. However, it didn't take many minutes to wait indoors when the sweat cranberries started napping. Suddenly coffee in the thermal and sitting in a cold car, relief. The car starts, the car gauge shows -4 degrees. Nothing else towards the tar swamp.

After sitting in the passport for a while, I realize that the target birds, the teal, are in a different place than I thought they would be. I decide to go towards the sounds of the bells, so I have to walk a few hundred meters ahead. After what seems like a long journey, I arrive at the edge of the field with sweat on my forehead. The launch breaks the gurgles of the tees on the side and the muffled rifle shot echoes for a moment. Teeri falls almost immediately from the shot. An incredible feeling, on this trip I got my first rifle shot.

Features of the Alpha G2 hunting suit

This is just a scratch from one of my yacht trips, but I will write down what I used on this yacht as wellAlpha G2 suitexperiences and information.

According to my own experience, the suit repels water and dirt very well. Not once have the underwear been wet, even though it has been raining and rainy. If it has rained during the duck hunt, G2 has been selected.

Repo's own xFade camo is pleasing to the eye and blends in very well with the Finnish autumn nature.

Features of the Alpha G2 pants:

Spacious zippered hand pockets and thigh pockets, as well as zippered ventilation holes on the sides of the thigh pockets to improve breathability. Tightening stickers on the calves and buttons at the bottom, with which the pants can be securely fastened, for example, around shoes.

Suspenders and velcro tightening at the waist. They will definitely stay firmly on your feet.

Features of the Alpha G2 jacket:

Combined chest/crotch pocket with zippers, for example for using a walkie-talkie. It's really good. A loop on the shoulder for the radiotelephone antenna.

Spacious zippered pockets for e.g. hand warmers, I carry my phone and cartridges easily.
A spacious large pocket on the back, for example for a leash or trail cloth. I've also had a thermos, a camera and even a duck.

Reinforced sections in the shoulders and elbows to withstand wear and tear.

There are zippered ventilation holes under the armpit to improve breathability if it gets too hot. There is also one pocket with a zipper on the outside of the sleeve of the jacket.

The hood is an adjustable and shapeable cap. In my opinion, the collars are high enough so that the wind doesn't get in the throat easily.

Inside the jacket, there is an integrated mask hood behind the zipper on the neck side, a very good addition if you forget the tube scarf at home.

There is also one pocket inside the jacket.
Both the jacket and the pants have very good tightening possibilities to improve the fit.

In summary, I state thatAlpha G2 suitis the perfect choice for the cold weather of early autumn and the mild weather of early winter. This is also suitable for a moving yacht if there is no plus sail.

Repo Extreme has a good selection of yachts for different seasons,there is an early season suit, an autumn suit and a winter suit, which I think is a great thing that there are a few different suits that can be worn in different seasons.
